Thanks guys

what camera were you using?

Nikon D90 and those shots were with a Sigma 30mm f1.4, Tokina 11-16mm f2.8, or 85mm f1.4.

I really need to get an 85mm 1.8. Those longer shots look amazing. I've been going back and forth between getting the 85 or a wide lens since I've been doing a lot of shooting inside a relatively small paint booth, but I think those pics just made up my mind for me. lol

Haha definitely worth it, try to find a used f1.4 version if you have the budget. Its thats much better than the f1.8.

I should have mentioned I have a Canon, so no 1.4 for me. I think an 85 works perfectly for all kinds of outdoor shots. I got a chance to use one for a day, but never actually shot anything worthwhile, just messed with it. I loved it though.

Ah gotcha. Yea I think 85 is a good focal length for different occasions.

Another one from last night after leaving the art museum.

The light painting shots are rad. The streak down the body line makes them, keep working with that.
