Well this started about 2 weeks ago. My amp's Stopped turning on so i checked all the wiring for any issues found a loose ground. So I redid that and still no luck. But this is what i found.
I just checked the volts with the car running at idle and i got 14.3 @ the battery, and 9.2 @ the amp's and 8 @ the remote wire. Now i did not check the main line at the distribution block just at the amps themselves. I did try the to "jump" the amp's but that didn't work. Now that could be due to lack of volt's.
I have a 2gauge main power line to the distribution block then from there its 4 gauge to the amp's. Same with the ground. Now what I don't understand is this has been the same wiring for a little over a year and the amp's even longer. Both amp's combined are 1450 watts. I had now problems till now (besides replacing the battery the same time i did the wiring. So I'm lost now. not sure what to do. Any suggestions?
For the first time in many years of installing car audio I am stumped.
:confused::confused:
Once this issue is fixed I will be adding a cap to my set up.
