it sucks to lose to a focus

Got to race a Focus SVT at the track on friday. The car looked stock, with stock wheels, a light drop and tint. To be honest, it looked really clean. However, we all know that Focus SVTs are slower than dog****, so I expected to beat him handily.

Lined up, watched the lights go. I treed the guy, cut a better 60', and was well on my way with like a six million carlength lead by the 330'.

Next, imagine the face Ja Rule made in TFATF when he got passed. MONICAAAA!

F-ing Focus left me like I was standing still. I was so shocked that I forgot to shift to 4th and crossed the traps 50 feet behind the guy. Guy ran 13.7@106. :eek:

I pulled back into the pits, and asked the driver what he had. Sure enough, the car ran 15s NA, and I got sprayed on. :( :( :( :(

GT cruisers trap like 93mph, and it's expected. I didn't expect 107mph from a 90mph frod :(

I had no idea it was a GT until she pulled in front of me. I didn't feel QUITE so bad once I saw it was the turbo motor. Otherwise I might have commited sepiku on the spot.

i raced that focus i think. i had him off the line then like you said...caught me like i was standing still. i didnt get a slip, but he said he ran a 15 somthin.

About a year ago i was driving my bone stock integra down l-town parkway, one traffic light before taco bell and i was in the right lane, he was in the left. My friend in a blue caprice classic with an lt-1 behind him, and my other friend mark was with him, i was by my self. My friend in the caprice was revving his motor at him so he decide to rev back at him. When the light turned green we were both baning through the gears, and i just kept on going and flew right by him. I threw on the hazards and made the right by the taco bell. Go to my friends house, got out and i was feeling like the king of the world cuz i raced an svt focus. When i got out i told them that it was an svt...and the sad part was, his girlfriend was in the passanger seat. That will be the only time i race...ever.

If it is this Kid Joe he has way more then just spray and I don't believe he has an SVT but I could be wrong. A stock SVY Focus runs low 15s which isn't bad. Blaise you ready for another Loose up against the Cutlass.

You only got damage because the plastic popped and sent your car backwards.

Don't feel too bad for your loss. I lost to an old rust-bucket that had some mad engine work.

(79 F150 with a worked out 302 in it. If it had what it was SUPPOSED to have in it, I would have wrecked it)

nope. both cars were totaled. the tow truck driver pulled my car on the flatbed, my bumper nearly fell off because he hit me so hard. then he attached his to the tow part on the back, swept up the street and i was at the junk yard getting all my stuff out that i wanted to keep...my head unit, speakers, subs...everything...sold all of that.

It's been a while since I've heard from those guys but during the absolute steak era there were two turbo tegs showing up that were both running 12 sec 1/4s.

Tim yeah joes SVT has almost a fully built motor and he works on the car himself, he has the turbo sitting in the garage for it...that car is absolutely no joke.

And was the SVT blue??? if it was it may have been joe...but i doubt it because he was going to turbo his car
