it was maintained really well and had almost 94K on it. only major thing wrong wit it was a dent in the driver side rear door from a hit and run. mods that were done to was motor mount inserts (waste of money and time), ACT lightweight flywheel and staged clutch, mopar catback, mopar surge valve, and upgraded LCA bushings. as soon as i got the car i bought a diablo sport predator and uploaded the 93 octane tune asap, short ram intake, 3" catless downpipe, gauge pillar, stuck in my wideband, eibach sportline springs (2" in the front and 2.4" in the rear"), yellow fogs, eyelids, and solid motor and transmission mounts. ima stop babblings and get onto the pics

im about to start gathering parts to make around 600whp but keep it at about 450whp, a precision 6262 turbo swap, 750cc or bigger injectors, fuel pump, fuel return line, meth injection, fuel pump rewire, and some internals.

i used bulbs for now, but im bout to switch to HIDs for the fogs and headlights, 3k for the fogs and hyper white for the headlights

get yellow tint spray. you can buy it at michaels arts and crafts for like 5 dollars. you just spray it on and works good no need for putting bulbs in or worrying about overlays. thats what i have on my wrx fogs.

Its actually not bad, it uses a 4 wire connector which is only power,ground, plus left and right speaker wire.

mine is debadged lol. what boost controller do you recommend? EBC?

when i datalog it will be a custom tune instead of the 93, i actually dont think i have knock at all. i think i had like 1 count of short term and that was about it. there was mount inserts in the car when i bought it. i went to the track snapped a axle from wheel hop, bought actual mounts and come to find out the stock mounts had inserts.

i got one catch can already. the one i got now goes from the pcv to the throttle body, ill pick another before i leave here tho.

i do have a question on the install. how much of a pain in the ass was it to swap everything? im tryin to make sure i got everything i need now before i get home so i dont gotta order anything.

swapping a turbo depends on what you have to take out and how knowledgable you are/who you have helping you out. if you still have both heat shields on the car add another 2 hours unless you get real lucky and the bottom one pops out. when i finally got my lower heat shield out for my turbo/mani swap i threw it in the trash imediatly.

the upper heat shield is gone but i still got the lower heat shield. that mother ****er is a pain in the ass! i think my bolts and stuff is stripped out but i got some special sockets that gets those out so i will see. i also got tin snips that i was able to get halfway thru the heat shield. i ****in hate them things. im pretty knowledgeable of how to swap turbo's because ive done it on quite a few other cars.

its been a while on here but i got back in town (baltimore) on friday and got started on my car that night. so far i got my BFMIC installed. got my 50 trim hooked up, just need to get the oil drain installed. and got my wally 255 and defeated FPR installed in my extra fuel canister. all i got left is to get a couple couplers, another 3 bar sensor, hook up my fuel return, fuel rail/injectors, drop in the fuel canister and hook up the meth kit and she will be ready to go. heres a few pics from last night

it is a 05. the 50 trim feels great but im still runnin rich, gauge says 10.0 but i dunno how rich it is. i got it set to about 23 or 24 psi. i took her out to cecil and my friends convinced me to run it but im too afraid to launch it properly so i was cuttin like 2.5, 2.6 and a 2.3 60 foot time. best trap was 113 best ET was a 13.9 @ 112 2.3 60 foot. i need to get this thing leaned out and some timing added ASAP. only really i took it untuned is because its running rich and i have no knock lol, figured it would be safe to run

yeah i can meet in wilmington no problem. i have a FS thread up ill attach.... id take 220 for it and to meet you. asking 200 and just 20 for gas would be cool. Like it says in the thread the exhaust would be an easy install and the piping is sound. I also just recoated it with ceramic silver paint.

do you have a wideband? if not i have a 02 bung plug i could throw in to close the extra hole in the down pipe.

got a 3" cold air intake to help the turbo breathe cold air instead of hot air from the engine bay and got a 3" side exit to help the motor exhale a little better. still need to get a boost leak test and do more tuning. also going to the track tomorrow and imports vs domestics sunday, gonna be a fun weekend

went to the track last night.....turbo loved the cold weather, tires hated it. my first pass after driving all the way there was the best. ran a 12.8 @ 118 2.3 60'. the other times were 13.5-14.0 varying between 2.4-2.7 60' and the highest tap was 120mph...well 119.55 but whatever. either way, with slicks, control arm bushing and the car finally on a good tune im sure i can get into the low 12s, maybe high 11s seeing as people with similar set ups are already running low 12s.

damn, its been hella long since i've logged on here. well heres a few updates and photos. i ended up PCSing from Dover AFB, DE back to my home town of Fairfield, CA and stationed at Travis AFB. i did a DITY move and basically moved myself with the help of my father in law. we drove cross country non stop in a penske truck with my SRT on the back, and cobalt shipped over.

upon arrival i purchased a 3" turbo back exhaust with a single exit, no cat or res, just straight pipe. also started using E85 to mix in with this ****ty as 91 octane, made 431.8 whp 466.7 wtq on a dynocom dyno that supposedly reads the same as a mustang...doubt it but whatever. with that set up, i was able to run a 12.2 @ 121 and 12.3 @ 124, both with 2.0/2.2 60ft times. within the past month, i've got my balance shaft chain cut, swapped out my 750cc injectors for 1000cc, went full E85, got rid of my stock TB that was 52mm but bottled necked down to 47mm and got a full 55mm.
