Did a search and couldent find what i was looking for sry if this question has already been beat to death. So here goes. Iv been looking into adding a rear sway bar to my 93 del sol. Of course tho i bought a car that has no mounting hole for sway bar links on the lca it self. So first thing i need is a new set of lca's. Which brings me to my questoin. Why are the oem arms curved and the after market arms stright? What effect does the stright arm have on the suspension? Is it better to go with say a set from ebay like blox or trying to find an oem set from an eg hatch? Also what is the biggest rear sway bar i should use without having to add a subframe brace?

The geometry of the LCA is very important. if it is not appropriately aligned like the OEM then u will have all kinds of problems. Personally I would never trust Blox/Megan/etc... and I know of quite a few people who made that mistake and had to spend even more $$$ to rectify it.

I would look for something OEM if possible. Not too familiar w/ Del Slo's (lol) but I know that u might be able to find arms from a civic or integra that will fit and have a mount for swaybar linx.

I would check on a Del Sol specific forum and see what those guys are doing. But def stay away from any "straight" LCAs.

Use a subframe Brace if you are going with anything above a 14mm sway bar. BTW - I have a 14mm OEM Integra GSR sway bar for sale if u are interested.

Function7 lcas are going to be the best bang for your buck. If you don't want to spend the money or want color ones then you can get another brand like blox or megan or skunk 2 but you MUST change out the bushings. Otherwise you'll be doing more work down the line when the ones that come in the arm wear out fast.

thanks for the info, ill proly just end up going with a set of oem lca's to save a cupple bucks if i can find them. How much do you want for the sway bar. If it fits an eg im pretty sure it fits the del sol. Is it just the bar or do you have the mounting hardware and end links too? thanks again

Common misconception about the Skunk2 arms. I've had mine installed for 2 years and no real problems with the bushings. I am fairly certain that Skunk2 updated the original bushings that were too soft and would degrade rapidly. Pretty sure all new Skunk2 LCAs use the update bushings, as like I said I've had no issues with mine. OEM is the way to go. I am thinking a bout replacing my skunk2's with OEM Type R's, but then I would need to get new rear shocks too. ftl.

OP - I have the bar, mounting hardware and endlinks. $50 takes it all. Just do some research and make sure it will all bolt up and let me know.

Ran Blox for 9 months, bushings were shot, replaced them, they died again in 4 months. Horrible clunking noises when going over bumps. Yes, the suspension was preloaded prior to tightening the bolts.

Picked up Skunk2's recently and have been loving them.

new question same topic. so I know that pretty much all 94-01 integra and 92-95 civic suspension is pretty much interchangable. but I can't find anywhere if the 90-93 integra lca's will fit does any one know if they will work too

I don't think so either. You need 94-01 DC/DB chassis or EG/EK arms, I think...

yea i was just hoping they would fit cuz i found a cheap set but they are the wrong size and the holes dont match up. I went and picked a set from a junk yard off a 2000 ls integra. but when i got them off the center bushing bolt was seized. so i pried them out of the shock thinking i could just press the bolt out or drill it with my drill press but no dice. im not sure if id be better off just selling them and getting a new set. what do you think should i pay to get new bushing pressed in, or would it be cheaper to burn out the center bushing my self and put poly bushings in. any one got extra lca bushings for an 00 integra they want to get rid of for freeeeeeeeee

ok so im pretty sure im going to get new bushings pressed in but im not sure what bushing to get i only need the middle one. im trying to see if any one knows if they are the same for both a honda and acura. the honda part number is 52622-SH3-010 and its $14 and the acura part number is 52622-SK7-A02 and its $17. they have the same first 5 numbers and im thinking that the last 6 are just to identify the car and brand. i dont really care about the 3 bucks difference but honda is like 10 min away and acura is like an hour. i read some where that one of the bushings were different but cant remember if its the shock bushing that is not the same. please help thanks again
