okay, looking for some opinions from someone in the know. I've been considering options to replace my Integra GS front leather seats. They're not in bad shape, just a little worn and I'm not a fan of leather for spirited driving. Anyway, been looking into JDM ITR Recaros, the Holy Grail of Honda seats, but they usually go for upwards of $1000 for a set.

I just came across a good deal on a set of USDM ITR seats -- which are essentially the same as GSR/LS seats except they are made with alcantara and mesh and have a softer bottom cushion.

I'm kindof on the big side (6' 220) so I'm not sure I would fit into the JDM REcaro's comfortably on a regular basis anyway, and I don't want to spend that much dough. But does anyone have an opinion on the function of the USDM ITR seats compared to the Recaros and stock seats? I know the bolsters on the USDM ITRs aren't as pronounced as the Recaros.

Need to make a decision by Saturday. Any info is helpful. Thanks TST

ive seen jdm recaros for around 800. and if they are shipped your gonna be paying more. i would just go with the usdm ones. ive sat in them before and they are still plenty comfortable. ive sat in both and there really is no difference in feel. the jdm ones are more for "hey i have jdm itr seats" thats it. oh and im 6'1" and around 200 and they fit me fine.

thanks. I've sat in a JDM Recaro, just not while mounted in a car. It was very snug, the bolsters on the JDM ITR seats are quite pronounced over the USDM ITRs. But I'm not really auto-xing too much so its not a major concern. Just need something less slippery than my old leathers. lol

My dad has the USDM ITR seats in his hatch and they're pretty comfortable

Can't say much about the usdm seats but I LOVE my JDM recaros. They are the most comfortable seat I've ever sat in

94Integra - good to know, thanks!

Dan - If I wanted strictly performance (and had a bit more money to burn) I would def go with the Recaros. However, you are also quite a bit skinnier than me (lol) so you might fit into them more easily. I sat in one at Elite JDM and it was certainly snug.

Toms2JZ - DC5 seats don't bolt right into at DC/DB chassis, and require substantial modification to the mounting hardware that I'm not crazy about getting into. But out of curiosity, where is this spot>? JDM Engine Depot?

picked up my seats today. They are MINT. literally look like they came out of a 2 year old car instead of a 10+. They are comfortable as hell too, and I def fit in these much better than the Recaros. I'll post up pics when I bolt them in.
