I was thinking of possibly looking up and trying to make a run on TST hats. I was checking out lids/hat world.com and they have a make your own hat section but its like $85 to digitize a graphic so making just like 1 or a small of hats wont cut it. Just wondering how many people would be interested. I thinking either a white or black hat with the Angry piston on the front. Then the back would be a smaller Angry piston or Alien with TriStateTuners.com written under it. Im just trying to get some feedback....so whos in?

Also if we can get more than 12 people the fee gets halved.

If hats are given the go ahead, I'll throw out the idea of fitted hats. They are really comfortable. Plus people can't rip the snap in the back behind ya also!!

Yea I was leaning towards getting flex fits. This might take awhile because the Lids/hatworld site would be ridic expensive for custom hats. Ill try to see what I can find with other places

you check out cafepress.com? you can make custom stuff there cheap... don't know what the quality is like for their hats though, just seen shirts.

Here is some crap design I came up with but kind of what I would be interested in. You can do it through Lids.com
Price would probably be around $30-35 and would need about 36 or it would be an additional $50 total for the image service.

those look pretty sweet. maybe have them in like maybe 1 or 2 more different colors like maybe a black one w/ white lettering, or a blue one w/white lettering.

im all for hats but i think it should be clear that were representing tst and maybe ditch the angry piston. a large TST would be just fine for me. and i like the idea of beanies or brimmed woolies it is november.

I hear what you are saying, but I must say I would like a black one with tristatetuners.com in the front and the angry pistin on the back. I think it would look better switched around. I'll buy 2 if this goes through.

drew $30? i know the new era hatts are crazy over priced but for about $5 il buy any old hat and tell people im a tirstatetuner. i understand you get what you pay for but its only a hat with the logo. more than $20 shipped to my house is crazy. also is the store open yet? troll?

i like the idea of the black hat the best, because the white onw will get dirty and it will show, the black one will still get dirty, but at least it wont show it.

if you want some quality fitteds ( new era ) + design + print + ship it's going to be about $35 per hat

Buschur & AMS are pretty large companys and I imagine got a large quantity at a big discount, I really can't buy 500 TST hats when we only have about 150 active members and maybe 10% of them would be willing to buy a hat

I can definitly work something cheaper out if you guys want to go with baseball caps.. maybe even fitted baseball caps but i'm going to have problems with getting multiple sizes

i guess you guys are pretty much saying these hats have to be embroidered? so screen printing is not an option? if you guys were to switch to screen printing i could get us a great deal, more like 27 shipped for a hat and maybe even better

My only problem with screen printing is the fade and cracking on them. If I buy a hat I usually am willing to plunk down some good money for it because cheap ones end up getting thrown somewhere and never worn which is a waste of money. I know that with the lids.com thing I posted up, the cost per hat would be for any color and any size. The only thing that would have to be the same would be the logos, fonts and placements. I could probably get some money knocked off of it if we had a big enough order but we would be talking about an order of 100, not 15.

Come on guys, we are an aftermarket community. You know that custom = money.

Something like this hat with the tst angry piston would be 1000% clutch and i'd have no problem with dropping $35. Maybe some of people from the sponsors section would chip in? Getting the tst name out there for people to see=more people seeing their company names=more money for them. And i'm sure there could be a tax write off somewhere. Do it. do it.

hey guys, if you come up with something let me know. i dont personally feel too confident in having to sell 50 hats at $30 or more each so its not something i'm interested in taking on myself, but if someone else is then please keep me in the loop about it and i'll help where i can, even integrate it into the new store we'll be putting up soon.
and to be clear about using the TST name, angry piston, and other designs associated are copyrighted and are not to be used without permission. they can be used in most cases if you contact me about it ahead of time and if it is not being used for personal profit.

yeah youll buy two but tst needs to sell 50 to get the better deal. i think hats have really become a bad idea. is there any way we can get a variety of hats? the new era fitted for the ballers the clean looking ball caps for a little cheaper and the trucker for all us broke individuals who want to display our pride for tst. 30 bucks a hat you will not sell that many hats plain and simple. i dont need new era it doesnt make my car faster.
