Aveo Aftermarket?

ok so i dont think anyone (including myself) would ever put performance and aveo in the same sentence. ive been doing some searching for a friend because he wants just that out of his econ-box. just wondering if anyone could put there .02 cents in on whats good out there for this little power house haha.

not cheap but an engine swap is possible. He's better off selling it and getting a Cobalt SS.

eh no just not a good car to start off with at all. My friend has one and it tops out at like 65mph in 5th gear, maybe a little more if you push it.

im sure u could get the basics(intake, exhaust, suspension) but i think a little turbo Aveo would be sick. And dont sell and buy a 240, they are ok but everyone has one. Be original

I saw that one in super street with the cobalt SS s/c engine swap and actually thought it was pretty cool. Maybe not every particular thing they did to it but the overall concept was good. Would like to see one pushing more whp then there's mad and more of a street car setup.

This is funny to me because I have a friend who actually put money into modifying his Aveo. It's mostly cosmetic aside from exhaust and intake, but he has supposedly planned out how to turbo it. Every time he seriously thinks about it one thought comes to his mind though... why not just buy a better car?

ya he wants basic bolt ons for now and he keeps talking about turbos and superchargers and i tell him dont waste his money lol. his is a 09 sedan not a hatchback. told him to sell it in september and buy the 1.4l turbo chevy sonic but he still wants to do stuff to this car >.>

Yea they changed it this was originally in Motor Trend as the 2012 Aveo RS

I've seena turbo Aveo locally. I guess with some suspension and brake work it could be a fun car with more power.
