Philly Auto show meet.

So I was thinking that we could do a meet/photoshoot in a garage in Philly and then caravan over to check out the Philly Auto show.
If anyone knows parking garages around the convention center we could meet at and not have to drive over to the show, that would be ideal, but I am up for whatever. A garage with an open roof would be cool too. Like the one we parked in for SEMA in AC, really tall, open roof...great for pics.
Anyway, feel free to offer up suggestion, shoot the idea down...I don't care. :wiggle:

There is an indoor garage right off of Arch St. I think. It is on the left side of the street. I think it has a green neon lit sign...or green neon somewhere..

Ok ok where to start... I work 2 ft from the convention center and there not too many great parking areas for the public, they are very tight and over packed, lucky for me the employee lot for my work is seriously 100ft from the conv, center door :partyman:. as far as parking for you guys, the lot at 12th and race is not bad, The Hilton has a garage off of 11th and Arch, there is a really crappy garage at 11th/race run by Asians.. there is also another lot on the 1000 block of arch run by asains. OOH! and there is a brand brand new very nice OPEN TOP garage at 13th and Filbert!! I forgot about that one :supz: thats the spot guys,My days off that week are sunday FEB 6th Mon 7th, and then the last dayof the show sun the 13th. if you want to get some good pics on that roof we need to go early sunday morning, and maybe we can snag one of these too :mrgreen:

Well i scoped out some garages tonite while i was at work, and the best looking one is at 10th and filbert. it has the best view from the roof, if we set the cars up right we should get a good shot of center city behind them..

The only time it wasn't busy was when I went down during the day on a Wednesday or any night except friday..and I'm the kind of person that goes twice to sit in the cars I missed, btw.. It was pretty busy on the last day last year.

I think we should just go to the show whenever we can, but just be down there for the meet/photos.. Then we don't have to worry about everyone parking together, people getting lost, etc...or maybe I am thinking stupidly because it is still early..

Aren't they calling it the "customized" car section? They called it something stupid on the radio...

We should go in there and harass them with stupid questions. Like, "if I put nos in my scion and blow the engine, it is covered under warranty?"

Actually, all of the cars in that section are owned by private individuals. A good friend of mine / business partner has his SRT in there. It's no joke, he is pushing 508 HP at the wheels...So I just assume that the other cars there would be of the same caliper!

I got a chance to walk the entire show last night.. and i am not impressed at all.. the tunner section sucks!, its like 4 dodge mags with ferakin rims chry 300 with some ugly rims, there was a awesome RSX type S that looks freaking redicuals... there was an sti all done up that was soo low to the ground it would scrape on twig in the street.. an IS 300, some dumb Scions, and a Matrix.. Audi had the best cars out, New S4 :supz: New A3 :thumbup: and the new TT 3.2 which is the same exact thing as my car but cost 15 grand more just to have 4 rings :finga: the new Mitsu Eclipse is out, FWD single exhaust :thumbdow: they also had a lancer EVO MR. looked good. Subaru has 2 STIs out and Petter solbergs ralley car on a platfrom, chevy has ther supercharged Cobolt out its kinda cool has a FMIC but im sure its FWD could be wrong though. it kinda looks like a Caviler with a STI spoiler.. i cant remeber anything else....

I went on the last day last year. I got to see them drving some of the cars out and onto the trailers. pretty cool ! i did the same thing at sema while the last drift show was going on all the cars from inside were rolling out and around the block .. cool stufff. summer is on the way ..hope they have the drifting at sema again this year.

On Wednesday, we had 2 sometimes 3 cameras going.......booty shots....where are all the car pics?? :supz: Didn't seem to be prohibited, but good luck getting a clear shot in the crowds today..... :thumbdow: I suppose some of the pedestal cars will be unobstructed....
