so....wanted to do this for awhile, but never gotten around to it. well, there's two feet of snow on the ground and i have nothing better to do so i finally started working on it.

my goals are to have a tach that revs to 10'5 and redlines at 9. at 6200 i think i'm gonna mark off vtec....

right now i haven't even taken my cluster with a tach out of my car, just been messing around with a spare dx (no tach) cluster.

gonna be using inkscape to design it... it's a vectoring program similar to adobe illustrator but free.

so far my inspiration for the design is based mostly on the SRAD GSXR / TL1000R cluster. white tach with a black speedometer.

Are you planing to use a aftermarket tach? There's no way the stock gauge will be accurate that high.

i know they get inaccurate, but don't they stay consistently inaccurate? even if it's not 100% accurate i'd rather it be scaled than off the end of my tach. it's definitely not going to see 10'5, it should see 9 often enough though.

once i have my motor and everything in come springtime maybe i'll scale it back a little bit to compensate.

it's just a project, if it doesn't work out i'm not really out any money.
