yeah cobb stage 2 only needs a catless downpipe, so you're good. it can also incorporate a catless uppipe or small things like a k+n filter.

Maybe this pic of a 2002 stock WRX muffler will convince you otherwise....

Read this link....it quotes decibel ratings for various aftermarket exhausts so you can find one that's not much louder than stock....I wouldn't trust the HP quotes though.

I know TimmahWRX was interested in this question as well. He doesnt want to be loud at all...he thinks my borla hush is too loud even.

you have any sound clips of the borla hush? I was planning on getting the mad dad whisper catback.
I have been waiting to get some time to go out and take some video of my setup, its too damn cold right now!
The hush is a very low rumble at idle, and on the low rpm range. Go WOT and it gets quite loud, especially catless.
PS, did you see your cobb intake?

i may possibly have a turboxs catless stealthback and a prodrive muffler for sale. i love it to death but in hopes of that 300whp benchmark i went to something more free flowing. i just put it on yesterday and am still letting it settle in, but if i decide i like it then the txs/prodrive will be on the auction block, in case anyone is interested in a mild volume exhaust that is a nice power improvement over stock.

If I plan on selling the blitz I hope to at least get half the price of something new I would like to buy, I believe it still goes for around 600/700 bucks? And no I have not yet sold the COBB.

The Apexi WS is very quiet. It has a nice mellow tone but is pretty throaty at WOT. Some people think it is too quiet, but it's still louder than stock.
