If you find some close to here that you want to look at, let me know. I have a little bit of experience with 2G's ;-)
I'd look on autotrader and other common online car sites personally. Buying one from a DSM board means someone knows what they have and have probably taken advantage of that. Autotrader.com and other sites you may find the "old lady driven" car that we all dream of. Another option is to put your name in at mitsu dealerships (or others for that matter). Thats how I found my car. I had my name in at Peruzzi and a couple others to call me if a 2G GSX was traded in. I got a call, I was out of town, but I had my mom go put a deposit on it ASAP. By the time she got back from the test drive, there were 3 other people waiting for the car, only 2 hours after it was traded in.

Never a good idea to buy a 2g and automatically do a 6 bolt swap with no good reason. The 7 bolt you might be pulling out could probably run another 100k easily and the 6 bolt you are putting in could have problems or wasn't put together well.

 *as i'm raising my middle finger*
i hear that all the time, but lately i've been seeing more chicks in 1gs as i'm driving to and from work. i go to catch up to them to see if the car has been modified, and find out its a girl. usually on a cell phone and with pink things dangling from the rearview mirror
i think the 3gs are for chicks.
