Recently got a message saying "no oil pressure, turn off engine" then got a second message saying "stop safely, no oil pressure"
Changed the oil filter and tightened everything up, but continue to receive the message every time the car is driven.
Few quick answers we've found on the net is a whole engine replacement and oil pump pick up screen needs to be cleaned.
Car is a 2005 Volvo S60 2.5T, also out of warranty so a new engine would suck.... So any help to deceifer the problem??

Oil pick up being clogged or maybe the oil pump went.

We are leaning a little towards the oil pick up being clogged/ needing to be replaced. The last time we drove it, less than an hour ago, we made it 5+ miles before the message popped back up again.
Thanks for the reply.

Um I would stop driving it immediately first off.
Second, I would recommend having someone check the oil pressure switch to see if it is operating correctly before changing any mechanical components.
Also, if there is a tap or easily accessible port to do so, have the oil pressure checked and compare to factory spec.
Then depending on those results, replace the oil pump, oil pickup tube, etc.

Check for oil pressure with a gauge. Also, check the oil pressure switch, might be bad or caked in sludge.
STOP driving it.

Haha, obviously.
I know with what i said, it sounds like it's being driven, but it's been sitting for the past 2 days. We changed the filter and took it for a ride to see if that helped and after a short 5 miles, received the message again and now its back sitting in the driveway.
Thanks for the replies tho, looks like it will need to be taken/ towed to a local shop to have the right person take a good look at it and see what can be done.

As said above you should figure out the actual oil pressure to determine if there is a wiring / sensor problem or mechanical problem. From there you can check cam journal for wear as that is normally the first place to find damage from lack of oil. The engine would probably be a bit noisy as well if there wasn't enough oil pressure. Lastly you can drop the pan to see if there is sludge and needs a new pickup, etc. or if the oil pump went bad.
