Well, got tired of the saturn. Too much of a headache. So, i traded it in for this:

2006 Ford Fusion SE
Automatic-I4-FWD
64,000 miles

I like it, it won't blow your doors off. But, i love it and it's better than what i had. Originally i planned on Auto Crossing the Saturn so we'll see how this goes. I don't have anything really planned right now but im sure ill conjure something up and when i do it'll be here!

Things to come:
-Tein S-Tech Springs
-Progress rear sway bar(24mm)
-Tinted side markers and taillights (i don't like the chrome looking taillights haha)
-Koni Struts (yellow)
-infinity speakers to replace stock ones along i with a subtle sub in the trunk
-Steeda Front Strut bar
-Steeda sub frame brace
-Steeda rear end links
-Upgraded pads/rotors/brake lines
-Magnalow cat back
-Steeda Intake

nice. What are your plans for her?

What kind of mods do they offer for these cars?

I don't know what i have planned. Just happy to have something that i don't need to worry about fixing every other day.

As far as aftermarket, intakes, full exhausts, coil-overs, springs, variety of struts, strut bars, sway bars, sub frame braces, big brake kits and actually a lot more.

Looking forward to see where this goes. Good luck with the car!

Nice upgrade from the Saturn. I've always likes the Fusion. It's a nice 4-door sedan. Good luck with anything you plan to do to it in the future.

I updated the first post with my list of things to come. I've decided i really want to Auto-x. So, this won't be a flashy, fast car. Something subtle i can drive with no problem daily and go autox on the weekends. I feel the mods i have planned will accomplish that, aside from the "cosmetic" and sound stuff lol.

Why the Tein S-Tech Springs instead of Steeda Sport springs?

sleeperSL2
01-05-2011, 07:30 PM
the tein's bring the front down even with the rear when lowered, where as, as i have seen, other springs such as the steeda ones, leave the front higher than the rear.

sleeperSL2
01-05-2011, 07:37 PM
I would go with coil-overs but i can't justify spending 900+ right now. Maybe down the road.

nice trade. ive seen a few of these slammed on air ride and 22's. you could prob. do add on stuff from the AWD Fusions, they had a lip kit and spoiler . but whatever you do im sure itll look sweet.

sleeperSL2
01-05-2011, 07:58 PM
Don't like spoilers and never will. i don't want to make it look like an AWD. Im content with my slow fwd lol. I like stock body lines better than anything.

DexterZX2
01-06-2011, 12:03 PM
IMO I thought the factory lip kit that some of the Fusions came with gave it that little extra spark to the overall look of the car.

Too bad you couldn't find a 5 speed, but still nice none the less, I was going to get an 11' before I decided on getting the fiesta instead.

sleeperSL2
01-06-2011, 01:52 PM
i would've liked a 5 speed as well. But for the price i got this for i wasn't going to be picky. haha

Decided i am eventually gonna go with 18x8.5 +30 Enkei RPF1's. either tomorrow or friday ordering the S-Techs. I'm hoping to start auto crossing this summer.

Honest_Bob

When my lease is up on my Fusion I'll send you my HID fog lights( 35w Yellow 300k) and HID headlights ( 55w 4300k white) for free depending if the next car doesn't have the same H11 bulb rating.

sleeperSL2
01-31-2011, 11:59 PM
haha really?!

Whitekryptonit3
02-01-2011, 09:53 AM

Yeah because I'll either have an STi or S4 or Volvo s60 R next.

None of which have a h11 headlight rating.

I need TST's wonderful input. the ONLY thing i don't like about the car are the tail lights.
http://www.atozautolights.com/Images/PartPics/FOFUL5A.jpg

I want to either A) Tint them, not dark but enough to make a difference or B) Lamin-X the non red parts red and leave the back up lights go. If any of that makes sense. What does everyone think?

I tried to find pics, my friend painted the chrome black (he had a black fusion) and it looked great so I'm sure the red lamin-x idea would look good. I don't think smoking would look to great since the chrome would still be there, lol.

DPancoast
02-03-2011, 02:46 PM
yeah you'll either have to paint the chrome or put the film on. doooo it

Erik@R/TTuning
02-03-2011, 02:47 PM
Can you crack them open with some heat and paint all of that chrome black?

sleeperSL2
02-03-2011, 05:09 PM
I could crack them, but i'd rather take a lazier way out lol

Sublime1304
02-03-2011, 05:22 PM
I wonder what it would look like if you color matched the chrome to match the car and did lamin-x over the red for a tinted look. Just a thought. Bake em and pull them apart

sleeperSL2
02-03-2011, 05:28 PM
if i was going to pull them apart, i would buy an extra set cheap off of someone on FFC.

sleeperSL2
02-03-2011, 05:42 PM
F*** it.Red lamin-x ordered haha

sleeperSL2

I took some advice from a wise man so nothing major is gonna happen with this but as follows:
-Tint
-Lamin-X taillights
-New speakers all around with a 12" sub in the rear (i like my music)
-Re-upholster seats (really worn)
-New floor mats
-Paint spare grille and pick up black lower mesh grille

Then..look for a project since this is actually my nice comfy daily.

Whoa don't go throwin that wise **** around hahahaha. You should see about finding a wrecked Fusion and snagging the seats it may be cheaper then re-upholstering.

sleeperSL2
02-22-2011, 07:07 PM
Haha okay then ill drop the wise, but, i'll see what i can find seat wise when the time comes. It's so hard trying to NOT buy springs/struts and wheels for this:o

sleeperSL2
03-05-2011, 03:30 PM
3,000 mile oil change scheduled and getting my radio looked at as well while its at the dealer as well as getting spare keys made (one set came with car)
-tint scheduled
-ordered OEM floor mats to replace the ****ty ones in it now
-lamin-x ordered as well.

sleeperSL2
03-21-2011, 09:16 PM
laminx came in for the taillights. ordered OEM paint in aresol cans(2) so i can paint match the upper and lower front grille, i don't like the chrome. then getting tint and ordering a steeda intake/resonator delete with a throttle body spacer.

The im not touching it. haha

Meh. Life put stuff on hold. My list. Again.
-tint
-debadge
-still need spare keys
-floor mats
-install side markers
-new grille.

that's it. then replace the speakers when i blow them out. i keep debating on whether or not to buy wheels and lower it, but with the planning of a project coming up i don't wanna invest in this too much.

sleeperSL2

So. I'm not putting money in to this more than general maintenance. Looking for an early 90's awd vehicle.
