Theres a guy across seas using that Volvo motor in his Volvo of course and using a DSM piggy back unit (DSMLink) making some decent power. Wonder what the motor is out of.

It's probably out of a 240/740 Turbo with a crap load of boost.

If memory serves me correctly, the 2.3's are non-interference motors. that can handle 25 of boost on a stock block. as well they are uber easy to work on / low in cost. I might be wrong on this but I Also want to say that people use the Avalanche T-5 adapter, so they can run mootang transmissions. All in all it isn't really a bad idea at all.
