yea you are but if anything happens they have to prove that the intake or exhaust caused the problem. what are your goals what do you want outta the car. if want a nice fun daily driver i would just get a nice suspension setup wheels and a nice exhaust. let me know what u wanna do with the car i had 3 si's and i recently owned a 09. i can also give u a contact for cheap parts if u want.

Don't mod a car under warernty. They will find a way to void it and they can afford a better lawyer then you.

Nah. Not true at all. At most, they can void the specific part of the warranty that has been affected by the mod. IE, if you put an exhaust on the car, they wont warranty that aftermarket exhaust if it rusts out. If your motor blows up, the burden of proof is ON THEM to prove that the exhaust is what caused the engine failure.
I would go about modding the car normally, and just keep all your stock stuff. In the unlikely event of the motor blowing up, just throw all the stock stuff back on before taking it in. Unless the mods you put on caused the car to break down, theres no reason aftermarket parts should void the warranty on unrelated items.

depends on the manufacturer. I know mitsu is pretty bad. But I've seen people lease an si and mod it. Just put back the stock parts and there shouldn't be an issue..

its the tq that makes it feel faster ill give u that but when you look down at the speedometer your really not goin anywhere. after 80mph the gti is dog slow just look at their 1/4 mile times the gti traps at 89-92 where the si is trapping at 92-95 bone stock! now i dont know what mods mkvftw has but stock for stock the si>gti anyday. the si handles better and is quicker as well.
