ok now for the updates

This is the current and new clutch/puck. My throw out barring took a crap. So we pulled the trans and discovered that the act clutch and puck was shot. And the fly wheel surface was trashed. So now I have a Clutch Masters FX 400 with a 4 puck disc and the findanza light weight fly...

The throw out barring

The trans all nice and painted. haha still kickin and has 172k on it!

The transfer case all painted and nice.. also is org. and has 172k
http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr278/dsmlover2/updates/transcase.jpg

And while we at it we also did the NON ABS
http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr278/dsmlover2/updates/nonabs.jpg

This is what is coming to the car once I get a head done for it. It is a fully built block. bored .20 over, JE pistons, Eagle rods, All ARP hardware. I want to get rid of the eagles and get manly TT I-beams. And get it blue printed/balanced http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr278/dsmlover2/updates/builtblock.jpg

Thanks man. :) yes lol I am very devoted to learning and doing as much as I can. That sucks about your garage sit! lol I do all my work on the ground in the dirt hhahah! I have a garage out back but its not like big enough to do the work inside. And not lit up enough. So if it rains or snows and something happens im stuck doing it in the mud lol. Why don't you rent a garage?

don't have a garage close enough to bother with. Don't get me wrong, I've replaced two turbo setups, done exhaust swaps, suspension installs...etc. All in my parking space. Just not motor builds..haha. The stuff i'm doing now is already against assocation rules. i get in trouble all the time for working on my car.

And it was on a weekend haha! Oh well let them bitch lol. I guess. I mean I guess you could get kinda kicked out lol and that would suck. But hey.

Wow that's a nice crack on that piston. These DSMs bring back painful yet pleasant memories. Good move on ditching the ebay turbo, it can only be a crap car if you put crap in it.

lol well the kid who I bought the car off of back in 2008 had the 16g on it. ha so I ran it until it blew. I don't like anything ebay. Its junk. Yes painful in deed lol. Painful to the wallet/purse lol! But they are fun cars when they work lol. I have a lot of plans for it. Hopefully soon I will get hired some where and can continue ordering parts for a head build for my built block. =)

Why the 4 puck?

GSXbabe8
12-07-2010, 11:32 PM
b/c I didn't have a choice in the matter if I went with puck or street disc. My boyfriend pulled the clutch and puck out of his 1g for my 2g when my throwout barring went. I don't have a job so I don't have money to buy the street disc. Do I like that I have a puck.. no. but for right now its guna have to do. =/

lol Nick do you even know who this is? haha.

Alright haha. Thank you. I can't wait to get a job again soI can continue on odering parts for a built head! I love everything about cars. I love ripping them apart. Building them. Putting them back together. Everything! haha. I love learning more about them too! I usually am up at that Rutters in York in the summer as well. If you go up there. But if you see me just say hey haha. If you pass me just wave. I may not wave back right away b/c usually my reaction is delayed cos I'm trying to see who it is lol. So don't get put off if I don't wave back the first time haha.

And lastley.. New wheels are going on the car once I sand blast and powdercoat them. Gun metal spokes and a candy purple lip. Theyre konig Traffixs. And a 3000gt vr4 break upgrade is going on. Am using an 13in SVT corba rotor for this. Reason being it sets back in farther and allows more clearance for the wheel.

So my 30r took a ****. Now I went holset. I have a holset hx 35. I upgraded my Magnus street intake with a jmf race intake with the Q45 throttle body.
Im pretty happy with the setup thus far.

I had to re do the hoses from the heater core to the water pipe and such due to the Q45. cos at full throttle the lines would get smacked. and had to cut and re weld the break canister bracket over some due to it was hitting the intake.

Driving wise I don't really notice much. Handling wise is a lot better. Launches will be a lot better lol haven't done one yet. The only thing I really notice is if in a low rpm since its 5sp and if I'm going too slow for the gear it vibrates loudly. Some tines I can hear the rear end whine on the highway lol. Other wise it's great. This spring I'm doing the front.
