I have a 95 integra ls sedan. I am planning on installing a 15-35 shot of nitrous in it. I was told by the company I am buying it from that because it is such a low shot of nitrous, I won't need any tuning at WOT to spray extra fuel. Would this be safe to put on my acura?? What octane gas should I use when spraying? Any input would be highly appreciated, thank you.

any input?

You gotta reserach how much fuel your car and dump to match the NO2. I'm guessing your going dry? You can spray without tuning on some cars but its best to tune(many people have 150 shots on my car stock with no issues). You will also need colder plugs. I'm hoping you aren't planning on buying the $600 kit with none of the safty stuff...

Will you even feel anything with a 35 shot? Can your clutch hold it?

i don't know any of these answers which is why i'm asking. It's probably the stock clutch on the integra. It can't be making more than 150whp at best. So I should change the plugs regardless? What octane gas? And it's not a big deal if I "feel" it or not

Anytime you run NO2 it is a safe bet to go with colder plugs so you don't burn when you don't want to.

Gas really has to do with your car. Higher octance burns slower, hence more power, but if your not tuned for it you won't get any gains.

Are you going with dry or wet? Either way, your really looks at $1500-$2000 for a complete and safe kit. There are advantages/disadvangeds to both but for such a small shot, ease of install would def be dry. I would run dry because I've seen so many more injectors fail then MAFs. But if I went with a huge shot I'd go wet.

With your car specifically, I don't really know anything other then general how NO2 works... but if you don't know that much about your car either, NO2 is def not the way to go.

well its a starter kit for $300, dry shot, pretty much just a bolt on setup

wait what? what makes a $1500 kit safer then a $300 kit? nothing thats ridiculous. its the end user that will make it "safe" or not not the kit. there's no such thing as dummy proof nitrous.

It cant hurt to run high octane as N2o can have an effect on timing it will help protect against detonation... worse comes to worse your out 20c a gallon

i suggest a window switch...to help from accidentally spraying at low rpm

Better kits come with things like this: Automatic bottle heater, nitrous pressure guage, fuel pressure safety switch, NHRA fitting, blow down tube and purge kit, digital dual window switch; wide-open-throttle detection, multi-gear lock-out setting, built in TPS(supports low voltage tach signals).

The $300 kits are the ones that you hear horror stories about because they don't have all the safey stuff in case of failure.

Your looking about about a grand for a safe kit, factor in possibly a fuel pump just to be safe, plugs, and maybe a tune. I would guess arround $1500-$2000 total like I said earlier.

Buying a good kit is cheaper/less time consuming then having someone go wrong with the motor.

bottle heater and pressure gauge are for the benefit of getting he most out of your bottle, not saftey. purge is way unnecessary at this kinda power level. WOT switches are cheap for cable operated TB's and usually even come with the cheap kits. multi gear lockout can be nice yea but not necessary..not on any car..surely not a mostly stock 95 integra. throttle position is also pointless in that application... its either on or off. i wouldn't worry about special fittings for this little app. and fuel is not going to be drained down by his stock injectors and a 35 shot

blown down tube is needed yes if mounted inside the car. but easy enough to do.

and as i said a window switch is a good idea but still not necessary.

I understand you get what you pay for. I am not going to spend more than $300 on this kit. My question is though with a that low of a nitrous shot will my motor be alright without tuning to spray extra fuel?

is it alright to spray a 100 shot on it? is it ok to spray a 10 shot on it? its all in the definition of ok. tuning would be better, but thats true at any level. there's no HP level that your cross that says under this no tuning is ok. every car and every motor is different and its a gamble no matter what.

that being said, i wouldn't hesitate to throw a 30 shot on it myself...but thats me. use at your own risk

ok in your opinion do you think that my integra motor could handle up to a 35 dry shot untuned without blowing up

i personally don't know much about those motor's...the place to ask that question and get the best results is gonna be a honda/acura forum or search the web.

it still a guessing game at what car can take what

i did on club integra they just aren't as helpful

aren't as helpful as in telling you not to do it or just not answering? try a general honda/acura forum as im sure that car isnt the only one that motor is in

35 shot should not destroy the motor pending the nitrous kit is working properly. It isn't any more power then someone doing bolt ons and tuning.

not helping by not answering period. you guys are at least answering, and yes that i my thought that 35 shot is the equivalent of full bolt on mods and you would normally not add extra fuel for that

bolt on's have nothing to do with it really, its all about AFR's your MAF/MAP will see bolts on's increased airflow... however its not gonna see the n2o

Its was more of a reference on the stock fuel system/motor being able to hold the power level then how the car runs.

yea but the only reference the engine is gonna have for the amount of fuel needed is gonna be the o2 readings...if that ECU is capable of adjusting that way i don't know

I wouldnt do a dry shot without a tune, if you do you might not be dumping enough fule to make it work.

Let me try to find something for you...

A LS motor will handle a lot of power. There are plenty of guys make 350+hp on a stock LS block with turbo setups.

Personally a 35 shot will not hurt anything...you could probably hit it with a 75 shot. I would just for the sake of it put in a upgraded fuel pump (walbro 255) and go a degree colder on the plug, and you should be good to go. A wet shot is easier to tune with since you can add fuel jets to get the a/f you want.

I have sprayed a 65 shot on a bone stock fuel system old school supra. Rule of thumb is every 50hp shot you pull a degree or two of timing.

You really dont need all the bs. I have a put together wet kit on my talon that I use aem ems to control to spool the turbo. Its basic and it works with 50 shot jets in it.
