Glad all's well, Bertz! Yeah, burns are pretty prevalent after an airbag detonation because the equivalent of a shotgun shell sets them off. No idea. There was a delay on the passenger airbag until after the impact so I sat there for a second after mine (driver's) deflated and I had just unclenched my butthole enough to sit back a bit and take a breath when the other one went off in my empty passenger seat. Some good Samaritain that stopped to check on me right after the impact brought it to my attention that my scalp was smoking even though it was 75*s or so in the middle of July. I looked in the mirror and laughed aloud, not knowing what to do :lol:

Took me 40 minutes to do a 12-15 minute drive, so I didn't really want a 40 minute drive to turn into 3 hours.

I sat on 295 for 2 of those. personally saw 6 seperate accidents.

1) Honda accord - cut me off no turn signal lost control hit guard rail

2,3,4) 3 seperate occasions I watched people rear end others at low speed just utter failure at paying attention.

5) I watched a lexus sc430 take a turn at est. 30 mph and spin out into the trees.

6) I watched a woman in an suv (terror of the streets) literally decide last minute she didn't want to go down 42 and merged onto 55 exit right into another woman in an suv and pushed her off the road.

Worst commute ever. I definitely wasn't coming out :(

Took the Vette up there for a dry run to test clearance this morning. Going in is fine as I'm able to enter at an angle. Coming out. Very slowly & carefully I only got a little bit of rub, which I think is just my plastic front valence that already sits 3" off level ground. So it wasn't too bad. It would be better if there wasn't a raised curb on either side stopping you from changing your approach angle.

What time do people start filtering in? Also- any other Corvettes?

Had a good time tonight- even though I'm not very active on this forum and pretty much knew absolutely no one there, people still came up and started conversations with me (as I did as well). A very cool crowd.

I was shocked at the turn-out, I thought there were a TON of people there. However speaking to several regulars they said it was comparatively weak vs. other meets. Reading up about this meet today I realized no one has any photos. I decided to bring some cams/lenses and take a few shots. There aren't many as my hands began to freeze and I didn't bring gloves. For the last hour or so I was there I packed them away and just walked around, checked out cars, and made conversation.

Again it was a pleasure meeting everyone- though admittedly I only matched one or two up with their avatars here. Alas, here are some shots I took:

I feel like if you're new you should go around introducing yourself. Most of the time I don't know who's new and who's a regular besides my friends. Bubba came up to me last week and was a cool guy. Introduced himself and we talked about eachother's cars then we talked to jgart. If you really want to talk to people then talk to people instead if just standing next to your car hoping someone will talk to you then going home asking on the forums. started doing my girl's exhaust on her ms3 unbolt it all unhook all the hangers to realize the only way to get it off is to either cut it off or drop the entire rear suspension and not having any tools to cut that well.... ended up wasting an hour of my life and put it back on. Yea the asshattery was one of the major flaws when we had it last year. I think the only reason the meet wasnt bigger this week/last week, was cuz last week was the night before christmas eve, and tonight was the night before new years eve.

Last winter, when we finally got the permit(the first time) we exceeded capacity for what? 4, 5 straight weeks? In nights colder than tonight too. I give 3 more weeks Tops until we overfill this meet... again.
