Yeah Im not a fan of them also, they suck when they dont break every 6 months and I dont have to build them, they suck that they will destroy any 5spd dsm put up beside them. I hate them so much that I have to manually shift the car to make it feel like a sequential gearbox, but its really a auto. I thought I would miss the 5spd, but its almost scary sometimes that the car is still together lol.

Evo's have never been DSMs; and it has no bearing on how many are out there: there are literally thousands of Talons, Eclipses, and Lasers out there still roaming the streets. DSM was ended in 1995-6ish when the Normal, Il plant was closed for good, and Mitsu and Chrystler disbanded Diamond Star Motors, and shortly after the Eagle moniker went belly up.
Anything after '96 isn't technically a DSM, since it wasn't produced by Diamond Star, which includes Evos, Star/Quests (pre-DSM in the 80s), and 3000GTs, although people seem to group them in there for some reason. If you want to be a real stickler, GVR4s aren't even DSMs.
