Which is better for my 350? U-Tec or The Super AFC_II by Apexi. Is the U-tec really worth the extra $500

There is no comparison between a Utec and Safc. The Utec is more along the lines of a stand alone engine management system. You can convert from Maf to Speed density with the Utec. You get full timing control, full fuel control, and a ton of other features. The Utec can control nitrous, launch control ect.
With the Afc you only get Maf sensor voltage offset, and it will screw with your ignition timing.
I would deffinatly say it is worth the extra money.

See I told you in that Pm I sent you.....
Safc is nice for on the fly tuning. Either one u still need a wideband. Safc is good at taking away fuel. SO u can control your a/f mixtures. NO timing control though.

It depends on what you are doing. Overall the U-tec is a better unit as far as what it controls.
However the S-AFC is good for evening out the A/F ratio on an N/A motor for a few extra ponies. For something like forced induction (added to a N/A motor) the Y-TEC will give you the extra control you will need to safely tune your motor.

what exactly are you doing with the car?
you might be better of getting a reflashed ECU from one of the Japanese tuning shops i.e. Mines, Impul, etc. and then getting an SAFC II to fine tune the A/F ratios for our area
