2004 sti center console

anyone else pop their center console open with thier elbow? I tend to rest my elbow on the button which releases it.

You must not have the armrest extension.

The only way to open that is to pull the front of the armrest up.

I have an 02 WRX, and I think the console is the same. I pop that damn thing all the time with my elbow. :thumbdow:

No I don't have the extension.

I had the armrest, took it off, and sold it. I knocked my elbow in it every time I shifted. I'm much happier dealing with a console that pops open.

Shifting over it is a learned muscle movement. I banged my elbow a few times, but it is great for cruising. And storing pens and gum.

yeah all the time, i just hat putting things by where the ashtray is. a hard shift and its making me miss gears.

I haven't had any trouble, but I have long arms. I rest my arm on the console sometimes.
