Do I have a bad DV?

It usualy happens in first gear, when I accelerate I hear a pushst sound it almost sounds like a little blow off and the car looses power for a second. I have a 1.8T in a B5.5 passat. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem. It seems that I am loosing boost somehwere. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

It could be the diverter valve, especially if it isn't the newest version 710n, but hard to diagnose over the internet. It could be a boost leak even. Are there any codes? You can pull vacuum to the valve and see if it operates properly.
