hows the install on one of these? never looked at where it was located

I personally have not installed one, so I wouldn't be able to say. The Thermostat is usually located on the engine side of the upper or lower radiator hose. You would remove the hose, remove the thermostat housing, and pop out the OEM thermostat. From there, installation is the reverse of removal.
