Should I get a cf hood?

I put a CF hood on my IS, it looks great on my GGP IS and DWP IS---definitely great! OEM hood vs CF hood, you will weight down the car by about 50lbs. but the bad side of cf hood is that UV will damages your cf hood clear coat from time to time unless get SEIBON coz thats what i got and so far no cracks and fade coloration! GOOD LUCK!

Only if you are going to be doing alot of weight reduction and painting it. Non painted = rice.

Not worth it IMO

Most CF products are fiberglass overlayed with a sheet of carbon, its bs honestly.

Not a functional mod unless your hood weighs 300lbs

I would rather put that towards a night out to have fun or a more useful mod like coilovers, bushings, mounts, hid's, a useful mod

There really is no benefit whatsoever to having a CF hood other then for looks. Even that will suffer eventually due to hazing or epoxy cracking. I've been lucky enough to avoid hazing so far but the epoxy in my hood is cracking like crazy. If I could do it all over again I'd have used the money I spent on a CF lip and hood on go fast bits.

Unless the carbon fiber hood is pure carbon fiber, no fiberglass nonsense but that would create a lot of road noise while driving because there won't be sufficient insulation.

CF parts from most places = useless, even a lip.

I would rather get canards, under trays and diffusers that are helpful.

no im just going to put my money for paint job. going to get some fenders from EliteJDM =D
