Has anyone here heard an e36 without speakers in the doors? If I keep the kickpanel and the rear speakers will it still sound ok?

Should sound good as long as u use seperates for the fronts and they have an amp to them (not the stereo)

Well, the car has an amp for the speakers stock. I dont know what the output of it is anyway, but it is being taken out to save weight.

the stock amp is specificaly calibrated for those speakers. so an aftermarket will be under powered

the stock amp is terrible as well as the stock nokia speakers. I recommend getting a set of seperates for the doors and going for a set of stealthboxes for the rear deck.

you can fit up to a 6.5" speaker (you will need to cut a bit) in the kick panel and any size tweater in the door. your biggest issue with using coaxils is that you'll experience issues with imaging.

the stock amp is 210 watts spread out to 10 speakers, it's far too weak for even the factory speakers.

Well, I plan on getting rid of both speakers in the door and just having the kickpanels and in the rear deck I already have 6X9's. I guess I will just see how it sounds
