I wanted to know if anyone on here owns this car or knows anything about it. I also would like to know if it seems like a good buy?

If it has all legit receipts, runs good, has no normal car issues then it may be a good buy but who knows. I honestly don't trust any of them unless there complete history is known.
I beleive this may be the one that's shown up to the bensalem sonic meets on thurs/sundays from time to time. If not there is another guy with a different style wheel rocking the same color combo.

Unless you're a DSM enthusiast and plan on putting blood/sweat/tears/money into them, and keeping/learning about them, its probably just not for you. A DSM is just not for anyone, plain and simple.

This stuff. I actually just saw the car in person the other day, and it looks really nice. If he's got receipts, grab one of DSM heads to come check it out with you and go from there. Good luck.

Buying a "running" modded DSM is NEVER a good idea.

It is always a risk buying a modded car, but you have to be patient if you want to find an unmolested one. Trust me, it took me over a year to find a clean, unmodified, awd 2g. It was well worth the wait though. If he does have the receipts and everything checks out with someone who knows DSM's, it may be okay then. It just comes down to how long you are willing to wait and how much money you are willing to spend on aftermarket parts yourself. You may save on them by buying a modded car, but that might easily be cancelled out by any headaches left behind by the previous owner. Anyway, good luck and I hope you find a DSM because they really are a lot of fun to own when you have one in good shape.

if you dont know about em.... get as close to stock as possible... yes buying a modded car is always risky.. but buying a modded dsm is a headache waiting to happen... its not will **** happen.. its when.. and if your not accustomed to the car i wouldnt do it.. you will prolly regret it.. even so if ur uncle and mom had dsms .. they were prolly stock... and still had problems.. you cant even imaging whats going to happen to this one! had my fair share of many dsms.. and they all had problems.. fully built, to stockish dds... ussually people dont sell modded cars that are running perfect.. its rare... more times than most ur just buying someone elses headache... plain and simple. GL with the hunt!

hahah the same thing probably happened to this guy & that's why he's bailing on it.
Then he will go complaining about how bad DSM's are to keep the hype of the stereotype going when he either bought a car with some issues or had no idea what to do and thought he was just going to go fast on someone elses build.

I agree with what everyone is saying, I bought a modded Talon TSI and it turned out to be more problems then it was worth. Now it sits in my garage in the corner apart waiting for me to decide if I want to keep it or part it out. Just check it over extremely well.
