some people just dont care. i never got the appeal of paying so much for a car thats otherwise a cookie cutter commuter that you see 2000 times a day. this is why i cant understand the appeal of saleen mustangs and such. what are they, 60k? and for the most part they look like the 20k dollar v6's to most people.
i guess if resale is your only worry then fine. but noone who has 50k to drop on a car thats that old can be that worried about resale.

I like the looks of the car minus the headlights. I wonder how it runs been sitting for a while and only has 12 miles? Curious to see final price on it.

If it was at barret Jackson prob 100k. It's a rear pony 1st edition of Fords return to the cobra logo since the late 70's mustang. Plus there were only 107 produced in that yr. Same can be true in any rear edition car. The 99 ZX2 S/R only 110 were produced they had diffrent intakes & rims than the 00 model. (ROUSH INTAKE& RIMS)
Even some dsm's are rear like the Dodge Laser turbo w/ facory body kit.

I would lose the wheels, but I do like the 93 better than the SN95 and up. (secretly a Fox body fan, having owned one)

Ok its a hot car and its rare and it has no miles on it. Here is the thing i don't get... why own a car and not drive it. If you want a investment buy a mutual fund not a car.

you may wanna check your escort history.. there's a good reason why no one ever saw some prototyped escorts/zx2s...aka they put even the high end mustangs to shame with little work. :supz: looks are a bit different since its a matter of opinion and id agree, i dislike the look of the 3rd gen escorts/zx2s and 1st gens.

the Roush Fusion ZX2 stomped the stangs in autocross times but it was never produced
Ford mentality was why build a 25,000 zx2 that will beat our 35,00 stang cobra

That car is all about the investment. plain and simple.

been on the zx2 boards for 6 years so i know quite a bit... we were specificaly talking about the s/r... and the s/r is not a cobra r period
as far as the prototype roush zx2s i agree, from what i've heard they would have been pretty damn sweet... from the rumored numbers they were running as fast, if not faster than the mustang gt... i say rumored because no one has any actual test data to back this up from the 2 know prototypes
on paper, yes the s/r could be a collectors item... but it hasn't happened... the cobra r of any of the 3 years is a very sought after car and, as is the case with this one, can fetch more than when it was on the showroom floor
typically the s/r sells for no more than $1500 over a standard zx2 with comparable miles of the same year
