I have been having so much fun looking and really had it narrowed down to a few beautiful examples.
Then a friend comes in with a business proposal. It is really good and a sure fire money maker. However I need to buy a cargo van.
So taking my jaguar money to buy a ****ty white van and use the rest for a buffer while getting this going.
Worst case scenario I don't get a jaguar til january.
Best case scenario I get it next month.

What year jag were ya lookin at? They are usually a lot of car for the money because people are so scared of the problems. Good luck with the mobile detailing sounds like a fun biz.

HUH? No I wouldn't do that stuff. Thats the kind of job that in order to make money you would have to cut corners to make it profitable and still only make $250-300 a day.
I'm a bit of a dick but I don't like to get out of bed for less then $500. :-p

I really like classic cars and classic english style. XJ is one of the few cars you can get that still have styling from the 60s but in a reliable modern car.
Anyways we have a solid business plan. I'd say more but don't need to give others any ideas. LOL

I don't buy cars that need repairs. As many cars as you have gone thru I am kinda surprised you haven't come to the same conclusion. :)

Yep. Few days out of my week and an extra 3-4 grand a month.
But yeah just have to postpone getting a jaguar probably 3 months.

It will be worth it. Extra money is always nice, Especially when you're doing it and not working for a boss. I will never work for someone again. It's a very good feeling.

I would love to know what gains an extra 36k-48k a year for a "few" days a week. Not saying your bull****ting, but being a sidework man myself, I am just curious what you have gotten yourself into.

I'll be working as a buyer for a major antique dealer(friend I mentioned).
Aside from driving like an asshole and being a dick on TST I also enjoy buying and selling antiques. I know my stuff pretty well and got asked to come on board in my spare time.

Yeah you just have to know what your looking at. Went today and got a tiffany tea set, noritake gold leaf dish set, and some nice gold plated flatware.
I spent about 250 and will pul in 600. I may sit on it for 3 months but its still money.
I'm holding onto all my silver. With silver prices going up people are buying it to melt it down. They are not concerned with the value of the object. Sad that so many beautiful things are being destroyed but it makes the stuff I have even more valuable.
