So not long ago I picked up an old SLR I found in a thrift store since It seemed neat..

its a Minolta 110 SLR, and apparently It wasn't too bad of a camera.
I was thinking of picking up some 110 film and testing it out. Anywhere good to get this developed and have a digital version with it? I.e. on a CD or something?
any local camera shop is good enough for developing. the cool thing about film cameras, the bodies have 0 to do with image quality, no sensors, its all about the lens and film, dont mind the film grain, or the unsharpness, its a film camera after all.

wow that's awesome.I still have a Minolta 35mm camera that I use for black and white. I can only hope black and white won't be completely forgotten about, I still like actually developing pictures and everything

That's a neat looking camera... Before I went abroad I specifically researched and purchased an older manual subtle film setup because I felt it was best for street photography without drawing any extra attention. I went with a Nikon FE-2 and a few prime lenses, and the runner up was a Minolta X-700 which was also a nice camera with good quality glass available.
Shooting film is more challenging and more fun to me, and theres nothing like that delayed and anticipated gratification of seeing your negatives or prints for the first time :). Have fun with it...
the only thing that sucks about film, you wait to finish your roll, wait to get the film back, look through all the pictures and say wheres the rest, and realize 36 pictures sucks, especially if you are used to digital.
film is awesome for landscapes and street scenes.
sports photography would just be too expensive for me.
