Hey guys. Im looking to get an evo within the next few months. I've been checking dealers,cars.com autotrader, blah blah. I just want a stock VIII or IX. Can anyone recommend anywhere I can find an unmolested stock evo that's not at a sketchy lot.

Also,is there anything I should look for when looking for one. Any major problems? I'm doin research now on a few forums just looking for additional advise. Thanks in advance everyone.

No, you can definitely get a loan on used cars through a bank.

I think thats only for cars over 85k. I dont think you can finance cars over 85k. As for used car loans. You can do that. What are you doing with your hatch

Most finance companies want a used car to be 10 years old or newer...and purchased through a reputable dealer. At least to get a half way decent interest rate.

But its very tough. they only go down to i think 2005 they have to have low miles on it and 9 times out of 10 if you have less than perfect credit you need a co-signer.

Look it over real good take it for a test drive with the radio off so you can hear everything.

Does it blow smoke?

Does it shift good?

Compression?

Turbo shaft play?

Has it been all hacked by some idiot?

These are just some things to consider. If you don't know much about cars take it to a mechanic and have it look over. The small fee to have it checked out before you buy could save you thousands later. As for the loan, hit up a credit union. Awesome places.

Good luck... I've occasionally checked through the first 5 pages or so on evom cars for sale section. Good luck finding a stock one there. Even lightly modded ones seem hard to come by.

I'd just save for one cash. That's what I'm doing now man and it'll be worth it. At this rate, I'll be able to pick up a sweet IX by around spring or so. EvoM is definitely one of the best places. I had an offer for an VIII just a few days ago. Guy only wanted 13k and it had about 87k on the clock. Paint was faded, but that's minor. Financing is for the birds, unless its for an RS4 or better.

I almost purchased a 2010 Evo GSR with 4,000 miles. All that was done was lowering springs and powdercoated stock rims for 28k.
