WRX Tach

Hey I was wondering how difficuilt it is to replace the tach on an 02 WRX

You need to figure out what is actually the problem. If it is the signal wire, replacing the tach itself will do you no good. I have replaced a bunch of instrument clusters and it is a breeze, though.

What is the problem specifically?

long story short i was driving my car and my tach jumped up and down and then down to zero and my check engine light came on, my engine was still running though. I was on my way to the dealership to get some other **** looked at. So they looked at that too and said that the gauge went bad and they need to replace it. I guess that doesnt say much though because they like to replace everything. I had them check my alternator and battery too and they said thats ok. So I dont know
