I was very reluctant to do this. I don't mind having a netbook at home but didn't want a desktop for doing my editing and design work. I also didn't want to spend 5 grand on a laptop that still wouldn't do a very good job.

Well every now and then technology moves forward enough for me to find a use for it. Got a toshiba satalite laptop for just about a grand with a i7 processor and 8 gigs of ram. Also has esata which works real well with my hot swap drives.

I was able to get about half of a $500 project done tonight so it should pay for itself within a few weeks. All while relaxing on the couch with my girl. I loved it, didn't even feel like work. :supz:

I build my own laptops but I really love the feel and quality of HP's cases and screens. I've seem alot of people have issues with Toshiba comps, but that was years ago.

Sure hope I don't have any problems. I've never heard of building your own laptops. I know you can custom order them but never heard of that.

Well I am on this kick to make sure every time I spend money it's to make me money. The laptop I don't care about so much. The money it brings in I do care about.

You can find barebones laptops just about anywhere. Ebay, pricewatch sometimes, Amizon, ect.

What parts are you having trouble finding?

I have a 4 year plan to making my first million. I just knocked 6 months off of it. So yeah I am a little excited that I can pull in an extra 30k a year from my couch. :supz:

WORKING from home FTW

I am working from home right now- i do it once a week. I actually got a new laptop from work yesterday a lenovo w510 core i7 with only 4GB. I'll get 4more GB soon I just couldn't ask for everything at once since i'm not paying for it.
it's got issues :(

I mainly got this for side projects. My boss has asked me if I want to work from home. Problem is that would put a serious dent in my electric bill. I have 5 servers, 2 workstations and a disc replicator and I live in an apartment. :bigeek:

Everything really. I can build desktop's but I have no idea about laptops. Like for starters a motherboard. Is there a newegg type site for laptop stuff?
