Ok I am at a dilema here, I want a real good high performance summer tire, decent treadwear, and good in the rain. I ran Azenis last summer because I was autocrossing with it. Tires suck in the rain though. I was looking at Tire Rack's high performance tire survey chart.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=UHP
Everything on there is pointing me towards the KDW 2's. Ok, are they really as good in the rain as what they say. If they are, then that looks like what I will be ordering.
Let me know your opinions guys. These will be going on my 93 Saturn SW2 in 215/40x17 inch form. Thanks in advance!!

I ran the kdw 2's they are good in a straight line but when I took them to the race track they showed there weakness. they don't handle well. But the Kdw's (not the 2's) are good

I have them and i love them you guys who think they are terrible in the rain are goofy. COmpared to the stock tires on the sti, i forget what they are called. they rock and compared to other all seasons i have had they are better then them too. Cornering these tires are great, maybe not on a track under extreme conditions but you can see the weak points of alot of tires on a race track. I love these tires and highly reccomend them Sincere also has them.

Adam - i had the first KDW's on my subaru and found the wet performance to be quite good - i drove them to the cords and had very little trouble in the rain even with little to no tread on the inside edges. From what i've read the KWD2 is as good or better in the wet than the KDW, but i haven't heard any back to back comparisons from real people, so YMMV as always.
