MK4 Jetta Headlight Bulbs

The Jetta's headlights are soooooo dim. I barely can see in the distance, and they aren't very bright. I bought brand new headlight housings last year because of the normal fogging issue. Is there a nice cheaper brighter set out there? I'm not sure which ones to go for. I have no idea what kind of connection they even are on the backs of the bulbs. I'd say my limit is like $30 as i dumped $580 into it a few months ago for a brand new front end (axles, spindles and bearings).

I don't really want to dump more money into this car than i have too. It's my DD though and i need to be able to see nicely at night. I'd like bright white ones or blue, doesn't matter.

I was having the same problem when I bought new housings so I had to go with HID's but didn't go 55 watt so there still too dim but better than they were.

what do the backs of our bulbs look like? I never looked when i replaced my housings. I was too much in a hurry to get them on and didn't look. Some have a plug type and some are like the backs of car speakers...

Someone recommended Philips VisionPlus +50 bulbs. I'm going to look into them if its the right back part.

I want to say its a plug thing. I know its the 9007 bulb.

H7s are stock bulbs. Get HID kit that are plug and play. Like 100$. Josh, you have my #, hit me up with your dub questions lol

I wouldn't put HIDs in a reflector housing. If you're interested, we have Projector headlights available that accept a D2S HID setup to get the job done properly.
