Today while driving in traffic i would shift into first and let go of the gas but it would keep going like rev out little bit i thought maybe it was my clutch acting up but then i got into first no lie. Withouttouching the gas. Clutch in put in first clutch out and my car went fine. So then after driving it happened so i pushed my gas back up and the problem went away. My gas pedal is sticking until it hits about 2/3k rpms then coasts. Any ideas on the problem?

It's a sensor. Lemme drive it and I'll try to figure it out or take me for a ride

I do need a 02 sensor. Im throwing a cel cause of it but i need to put back on stock exhaust and headers to fix it because the hole for the 02 now is near the axle and i would hit it.

check your throttle cable connections and check to make sure it is secure/clipped in, in all factory locations. check your cruise control assembly. lube everything (WD40). make sure your throttle cable is not fraying

If the peddel is actuley sticking a sensor wont cause that.
You either have
1 A frozen throttle cable
This happens when the lubracation in the cable gets stickey after it has been sitting for a while. In the winter if a little bit of water makes its way into the cable and freezes, or if your cable line holders is broken and the cable dosent has to much slack to it.
2, A dirty throttle body, This is selve explanitory
3. And this was my problem, Somthing wrong with your cruise control unit. I just completley removed it to correct it
And CN. Not to sound like an a** but you should never knowingley drive a car with a sticking peddel. Your putting yourself and others at a senceless risk.

This wont cause your problem. Just kill you on MPG. Plus you can always rerun your wiring for a new 02 sensor in the new spot.

So your car isn't running right and you have an exhaust problem... maybe you should fix that first... just sayn.
Also, it it the petal that is physicially getting stuck or is the throttle just not very resonsive. 2 completely different things.
My vote is your car is just running like **** because of your POS exhaust and you probally never ever clean your TB or lube your cables or your gas pedal is actually phyisicaly binding.

Well the car doesnt have a full exhaustthe kid before me put headers on and exhast with stock catback and thevproblem happened yesterday while driving so i had no choice but to drive it home. I lubed everything up and checked the cable. So far so good. So theres no pos ricey exhaust on it.

I think hers is the same car as mine. It's hard to explain over the internet you really have to be in it or drive it to feel it. Like it doesn't pick up speed real fast that it dangers anyone but Idk. I just checked everything wd40'ed up few things. The cable felt a little lose so i pushed it in and I took the car for a ride around the corner revved it up tapped on the gas messsed with it for about 20 minutes and its all back to normal so idk whats going on. Yeah next meet somewhere if you're there ill show ya

The WD-40 won't last long. Its going to do the same thing again soon. Go to the parts store and get cable lube. I didn't realize how great the stuff worked until I snappped a throttle cable on my motorcycle. Now I use it on all my vehicles yearly jsut to be safe.

Thanks for the update with the cable lube. I'll check in when I get to work and see if I have it there before I go out and buy it.

wd40 works good on mechanisms that it can get into it... tb springs, cruise control junctions, etc. good to see it was a simple fix regardless
