Sorry this is so long...but suck it up and read it.

As some of you know, my father and I picked up an M coupe this past weekend. http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100460 Anyone who knows anything about BMW's know that these cars are very prone to catastrophic rear subframe/differential mounting failure. Now, when we picked up the car, we put the car up on jackstands and inspected the entire rear end, as well as pulled back the carpeting in the rear to inspect it from the top down. Everything was in immaculate shape! BUT...we have plans for the car and it will be making more than stock power and we don't want the extra power to start causing the rear end problems. So...after doing some research the week before we bought the car I found that someone does make a full reinforcement kit that needs to be welded in. It reinforces the rear subframe and adds an extra mounting point for the rear differential. It'll drive like stock, but the rear end will now handle any power that we can throw at it. At that point I figured I'd call Turner Motorsports out in MA and speak to Marco, the service manager (he's incredibly informative and active on bf.c...he knows his ****!). I wanted to inquire as to whether they would do the work...seeing as they specialize in BMW's. He said he "highly recommends" going to Maximum PSI and working with Mike, whom is a personal friend of his. That's where my question comes into play...has anyone had any experience with this garage? Needless to say it's quite a drive from where we are...and I wouldn't trust taking the car to just anyone. Maximum PSI quoted the job at over 25 hours of labor. I just don't want to drive the car 4 hours (one way) away and spend over $2,500 in just labor to a shop I haven't researched. Any info would be appreciated.

Please. I try not to get ragingly aroused this early in the morning, the thoughts are torture!

I feel like I've heard of this shop though, not sure what they specialize in though. Probably good peoples, I'd hope.

They seem to do a lot with BMW's and forced induction...at least that's the impression I get from their website.

Doesn't Mike Radowski (spell?) work there? Or own it? If so, he knows his stuff.

I don't know the shop myself, but some of the guys in the Supra community up there think quite highly of Max PSI. From Supraforums post in the NE Section:

Maximum PSI I would highly recommend. Mike knows his stuff. Would not go to anyone else for a job if I was looking to keep it close to home.

These guys are amazing at Fabrication! I wouldn't go any place else for fabrication.

Get a hold of Mike at Maximum PSI, he does not charge through the roof and does top quality work.

Mikes work is great, He did my Twin Setup on my Supra and shortly after my Single setup. I just had him do my exhaust on my 911 2 weeks ago. Great work and Great guy. MaximumPsi.com for all fabrication work in the NE

Well, my dad travels quite a bit for work and he just so happened to be in Linden today for business. He ended up stoping by their shop and speaking with Mike. My dad was incredibly impressed with the projects they were working on as well as the projects they had completed that were sitting there in the shop. I think we've made up our mind on going there. lol My dad waisted no time in telling me they had an e36 M3 on the dyno that was pushing 1,000whp. Yeah, yeah, yeah...thanks dad. My drivetrain is stock still. LMFAO!

My shop(steel fabrication) is in Linden. I buy bolts from a place on that street and I've always seen some cool cars around there. Nothing really crazy though that I can remember. I'm going to have to start paying attention next time I'm there haha. I know Sean Ivey is right around the corner too. There's a lot of tuning/performance places in Linden now that I think about it lol
