I think the lighter the better, Id say go with 40%.. To dark of tint looks ghetto on anything but black cars IMO.

any tint on the front windows in PA is illegal...the other windows can be any %....completely blacking them out of all light, is just retarded on top of being illegal

but if you're gonna do it, I say 35ish % as long as the cops can see your outline, they most likely won't bother you for it, unless they're really bored...or you're in whitpain.

I had 20% both times on my car and I've got pulled over and harassed by cops constantly. Granted I do live in a smaller town so that may have been part of it.

Hey!

There are a few key factors that come in to play when picking a tinting percentage..

Are you in NJ or PA?

Is your interior dark or light?

Is this your first car with tint? We tent to steer people towards lighter tint...

As for my personal preference, I think the 20% would look pretty baller!!!

Incorrect. You can have 70% tint in PA, but most police will let you go with 35%.

Personally I would say it also depends on your interior color. I had %15 tint on my black GTP with black leather interior, and it looked as dark as my friends %5 tint with his grey interior.

But on a red car, I'd stick with %35

anything more is just a cop magnet on a car such as yours. Its dark enough to give you the effect you want but not dark enough to get you pulled over plus tint on a red car just says pull me over.

tint on my red car is 20%...i can barely tell the difference, but the red car has no rear seats, so it looks kinda brighter. this is in the shade:

just got 20% done on mine, and they look amazing. I had 15 on my last one but I had lighter interior. 20 with my black interior look sooo much darker than the 15.

To the people hating on tints, I don't get it. How is tint rice? I just had mine done and I actually feel safer because the tint helped reduce the glare of the sun when I drive and it keeps the inside cool.

I don't know the percent, but my brothers Probe I drove when I got my license (in my avatar), had the darkest tint in the world. You literally could flick somebody off right in front of their face, and they wouldn't even know. I think in the course of a few years, between the two of us, we got 16 warnings, and 3 tickets.
