Okay some of you might not follow the "Proven Power Bragging" forum on nasioc, but i do. Today I caught wind of a very long post/thread started by a member named Bruce. Apparently this guy has been using Crawford Performance parts for a while now and only now has had a problem. I dont know all of the details except for this.

This guy Bruce was the first to use Crawford's newly designed "Bobblehead" pistons. He claims that Quirt at crawford did not check the tolerances on the piston size. Due to this, Bruces engine is consuming one quart of oil every 65 miles. So far he has gone through about 100 quarts.

Crawford has been a pioneer in subaru engines and until now I have not heard anything bad from them. Now, they are refusing to refund or rebuild Bruces engine and are saying that the tuner caused this.

Discuss!

New Info:

Crawford Performance did not make the pistons. CP made the pistons. The issue here is that Crawford did not check the piston/wall tolerances before building.

Oh i agree that quirt should own up to that but he is never gonna do that on a public forum. And guess what if i called him tomorrow told him i was buying a block and i referenced this i bet he would say "we messed up but the problem has been resolved and u won't have an issue like that."
